We have been hard at work in the studio over the past few months and we’re back in the studio again this week. As promised, here is a free preview of Hangman Lies, from the upcoming album ‘Mindslave’ coming out this Spring!

Send us your pics wearing or holding anything Banshee, showing your support of the band. Everyone who sends in a picture that we can display on our web site and Facebook will be entered into our monthly drawing. The current prize for January 2012 will be a reserved Mindslave CD signed by the whole band! You will get one of the first copies off the presses, when it is released this spring!

Every picture from December has been added to the January drawing too, so nobody will miss out on this months drawing.

Just email a picture of you wearing a Banshee shirt or hat, even holding an album or CD or something original you made would work. Just show us some Banshee love and you’re entered in the contest.

New Release “Mindslave” Out in Spring 2012

Atlantic and Metalblade recording artists BANSHEE have reunited and are recording their 4th album. The Kansas City heavy metal band’s original members Terry Dunn (guitar) & Chuck Hopkins (bass) will be joined by ASKA/OMEN vocalist George call and drummer Marty Schiermann (LOOKER/SNAKEY BILLY).

Tracks are being recorded in various studios in Dallas, Des Moines & Omaha with an expected release in Spring of 2012.

“Terry and I have just spent 3 weeks in the studio doing final arrangements and Marty just finished several drum tracks and we are doing sub-mixes right now. We will release a free single from the album in a few weeks downloadable from bansheerocks.com so we want everyone to be watching for it. This will give the fans a taste of the new album.

The songwriting, and the sound production of this new project will be great. Hard Rock lovers should simply not miss this record which will showcase our various influences in a cutting edge release. This is a very exciting production for us and we can’t wait to get it out there.”

We found a terrific artist in France a while back and really liked his work. Very dark, apocalyptic themes….very metal…great detail.

His name is Constantin Saguin and he has a studio just North of Paris. We gave him a concept and he nailed it on the first try. His website is brutal-design.com and he loves working with metal bands and does everything from covers to web design.

In fact, the Banshee Mindslave album cover is featured on his home page. We love the guy…he has done a knock-out job for us and we plan on using him for future projects.
